April 2021
Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)
The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence, educate communities on how to prevent it, and bolster prevention efforts throughout the year.
The impact and prevalence of sexual assault is staggering, yet it remains one of the most underreported crimes. In this video, the staff at CAPSEA discusses why it’s crucial to raise awareness, and how you can support survivors. Nicole Rose, the Community Outreach Coordinator, is joined by Tiffany Palmer, our Sexual Assault Counselor and TIR Facilitator, to discuss these important topics.
