About SAAM
Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) is observed annually in April to raise public awareness about sexual violence, its prevalence, and the importance of prevention and support for survivors. The primary goal of SAAM is to foster a culture that prioritizes consent, respects boundaries, and supports survivors in their healing journey.
CAPSEA will spend the month spreading awareness through social media, news outlets, and community events designed to engage advocates, partners, and the Ridgway community.
CAPSEA is calling on our neighbors and local businesses to help shed the light on this abuse, and to show your support by donating to local organizations, like CAPSEA, who provide assistance to victims and survivors.
